From the Lexington Herald-Leader: “Lexington is again hosting a slew of activities for Global Entrepreneurship Week, a worldwide effort sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation to encourage young people to explore their potential to be innovators and entrepreneurs. And most of them are free.
This year, 135 countries will have national campaigns for Global Entrepreneurship Week and the event is expected to attract about 10 million participants, according to the event’s website, Gew.co.
In Central Kentucky, the week is organized by the Lexington Innovation and Commercialization Center, a part of the Kentucky Innovation Network, and the Bluegrass Small Business Development Center, both of which are a part of the University of Kentucky. The Bluegrass Business Development Partnership including the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, UK and Commerce Lexington are supporting the effort.”
