Seven engineering majors are among the 10 top-paid for 2013

Graduates in Cap and GownFrom AOL Jobs: A new study just released by the National Association of Colleges and Employers tracking the highest-paying college majors for the class of 2013 suggests if there are any fields that can still offer big paychecks, they’re the technical lines of work.

“Engineering majors are consistently among the highest paid because the demand for them is so great,” Marilyn Mackes, the executive director of NACE, said in a press release. Indeed, 7 of the 10 highest paying majors for the class of 2013 were related to engineering. The seven majors can lead to jobs with an average starting salary ranging from $62,200 to $93,500, the report says.
