Lexmark Coaches KY-SEF Winners

Seventeen Kentucky students will travel to represent Kentucky at the Intel International Science and Engineering fair in Phoenix, May 12-15. The high school students represent the “best of the best” as they were chosen among hundreds of students that competed around Kentucky in five regional fairs and the Kentucky State Science Fair held last month at EKU.

Prior to the journey to the International competition, Lexmark invited the winners to an event at the U.K./Lexmark Center for Innovation in Science and Math Education on April 27. Hosted by Lexmark CEO, Paul Rooke, the students presented their winning projects to a team of Lexmark engineers and got feedback and coaching on their presentations and asked questions about choosing a career in a science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Lexmark has a long history of supporting education in Kentucky as its philanthropic focus is diversity and STEM education.
