Organizers hope to spur more innovation in region

The concept of an IdeaFestival has been around in bigger cities for a few years, and Bowling Green will play host to one next month.

“Our main goal is to spotlight innovation happening in the state and focus on (science, technology, engineering and math) programs,” said Josh Raymer, Innovate Kentucky Executive Administrator for the Center for Gifted Studies.

The IdeaFestival, which has been in Louisville and Lexington, was looking to expand its brand, and the center was planning a series of discussions on innovations.

“We thought it was a perfect marriage to combine the two,” Raymer said.
