Google-Science-Fair-2014From Google: This year, we introduce the Local Award – to celebrate projects that address a locally relevant issue. Does your community face unique challenges that you’d like to change? Past participants have worked on projects around clean water sources, power shortages and rodent overpopulation. If you’d like to work on a project to help make your community a better place, this award’s for you!

Winners will be awarded a prize valued at $1,000 by Google, to help further their project and education.

One Local Award winner will be selected from amongst eligible entries within each participating country or US State. Please see the competition rules and judging page for details.

Bowling Green businesses land on “Best Workplaces” list

Hitcents & Connected NationFrom the Daily News: “Five Bowling Green businesses earned places on the 2014 Best Places to Work in Kentucky list.

Connected Nation, Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac and Hitcents won in the small business category, taking 12th, 28th and 29th places, respectively. Connected Nation has earned a ranking on the list four times in the past and was previously ranked 15th. This was the first year Leachman Buick GMC Cadillac and Hitcents were ranked on the list.

Connected Nation employs 43 people in Kentucky, and Hitcents employs 50, according to the Best Places list.”

Connected Nation and Hitcents provided speakers and assistance for the inaugural IdeaFestival Bowling Green. Innovate Kentucky congratulates them on this accomplishment!
